Real Madrid will make an official approach to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold for the 2025-26 season now he is free to talk to foreign clubs over a pre-contract, with the Liverpool full-back just one of the stunning names potentially available without a transfer fee come the end of the season.
While January 1 was the date Real can officially make offers of a pre-contract, due diligence will have been done in the first half of the season, testing whether there is interest in a move and ball-park terms of a contract.
