Stephen Bradley hailed the mentality of “throwback” Michael Noonan after the teenager wrote himself into the record books on his debut for the Hoops.
Noonan became the youngest goalscorer in a major Uefa club competition since the formats changed in 1992 by nabbing the winner away to Molde at the age of just 16 years and 197 days. Romelu Lukaku’s Europa League efforts for Anderlecht at 16 years and 218 days were knocked off top spot by the winter arrival from St Patrick’s Athletic who was playing his first match as a professional.
