By the time he was 23, Alan Mahon had achieved more than most in the professional game. A debut at 17. A Wembley Cup final. Champions League football. Playing for his country.
But there was one thing missing. A dreamy ambition the little boy had once shared with dad Fred and mother Maureen, after another day gambolling around Pearse Park in Crumlin.
