More than 300 people have signed a petition protesting an alleged lack of transparency in one of the country’s largest amateur football clubs where a Fine Gael councillor has played a leading role for almost 15 years.
There has been unrest among members of Mount Merrion Youths FC (MMYFC), which has bases in the Mount Merrion and Stillorgan areas of south Dublin, with complaints that parents were excluded from the club’s AGM earlier this year.
